Tottenhams Lloris Picks Up Fresh Injury And Doubt For Arsenal Game
Tottenham Hugo Lloris has picked up a thigh injury against Real Madrid emerging as a doubt to face Arsenal.
After the group stage victory against the defending champion at Wembley last night Lloris was seen limping towards the end of the match.
Hugo Lloris collided with Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos and got injured during their match win.
Tottenham manager didn’t reveal any information about the injury after the match but Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris was left out of the France squad for upcoming match friendlies against Germany and Wales.
Lloris has been ruled out for at least 15 days he has sustained a thigh tear confirmed by French boss Didier Deschamps after tests was revealed.
French boss is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard:
“Hugo injured himself yesterday. He underwent tests this morning that confirm a tear in his adductor (thigh). He will be absent for a minimum of fifteen days.
“If Hugo had been [part of the France squad] Steve Mandanda would have played a match anyway because it was important to give him one. Now he’ll play at least one. After we’ll see.”
The 30 year old will miss country matches during the upcoming international break and will now miss premier league match with Crystal Palace on Sunday as well.
The French International will be facing a race against the clock to get himself strong enough to play Arsenal in the north London derby at the Emirates – which takes place in 16 days time on November 18th.
If the Tottenham goalkeeper beats the clock he could make the Arsenal match but if he takes longer than the time he would not be able to make the north London rival match against Arsenal as Tottenham goalkeeper.
Hugo Lloris is Pochettino’s latest problem and concern as Alderweireld is a major doubt to play the north London rival match against Gunners as he has been ruled out for few weeks due to a hamstring injury that he unluckily suffered last night.
